Headliners Announced for Upcoming Music Festivals!

Happy HumpDay! Hopefully you have enjoyed the beautiful weather the past few days, but there is some rain in the forecast for the rest of the week. It’s beginning to look a lot more like Spring around with the increasing rain chances and warmer weather! Lets hop to todays edition!

🎶 Tanglefoot Music & BBQ Festival Debuts in Temple – Sept. 12–13

Temple is set to host the inaugural Tanglefoot Music & BBQ Festival this fall, a two-day celebration of live country music and bold barbecue flavors. The event will take place on September 12–13 at the MLK Festival Grounds, located at 301 S 4th Street in downtown Temple.

🎤 Music Lineup Highlights:

  • Parker McCollum – Headlining the festival with music from his upcoming album.

  • Cody Jinks – Touring in support of his latest album, Change the Game.

  • Robert Earl Keen – Known as the "Godfather of Texas Country Music."

  • Randy Rogers Band – Celebrating their 25th anniversary.

  • Mark Chesnutt, Jack Ingram, Corey Kent, The Wilder Blue, and many more.

More than 20 country and Americana acts will perform across two outdoor stages, with a strong emphasis on Texas artists.

🍖 Barbecue Experience:

Festivalgoers will get a taste of barbecue styles from across the country, including Texas, Kansas City, Memphis, and Carolina, all crafted by top-tier pitmasters.

Central Texas State Fair Announces Lineup

The Central Texas State Fair announced the concert lineup earlier this week! Tickets will go on sale soon, but until then, here is the lineup for this year:

Early Voting Began Yesterday for Area Elections

Yesterday, early voting began in both Temple & Belton. Find out more information below about the specific locations:

Temple Residents:

Early Voting for the 2025 Temple City Council District 1 election kicks off tomorrow, Tuesday, April 22, at the TISD Administration Building (401 Santa Fe Way).

 Early Voting Schedule

  • Tuesday, April 22 – Friday, April 25: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

  • Monday, April 28 and Tuesday, April 29: 7 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Early voting will take place at City Hall (Conference Room), 333 Water Street on the following dates:

  • Tuesday, April 22 – Friday, April 25: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.
