Belton Business Gaining National Recognition

A local business, My Giving Tree Gift Shop & Art Gallery, was recently recognized by Gifts & Decorative Accessories and named one of just 24 finalists nationwide for the 2025 Retailer Excellence Awards.

This prestigious recognition celebrates outstanding retailers across the country for their creativity, community impact, and excellence in customer experience. We are incredibly proud to see one of our own shining on a national stage.

Winners will be announced at the REA Gala in Dallas on June 18. For more information about this, please read the story here! As reported by Discover Downtown Belton.

Industrial Boulevard Intersection in Temple to Close for Bridge Work

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has announced the closure of the Industrial Boulevard intersection in Temple to allow for major bridge construction. This project is part of a broader effort to expand the roadway to four main lanes between West Nugent Avenue and Range Road, improving traffic flow and connectivity in the area.

The upgrades will also include new U-turns at the interchanges, similar to those already in place at SL 363 and Wendland Road. James Construction Group, LLC is overseeing the nearly $54 million project, which is expected to be completed by fall 2027, pending weather and field conditions.

Drivers should expect detours and are encouraged to plan extra travel time. TxDOT is reminding motorists to exercise caution and prioritize safety when traveling through construction zones.

Belton Tool Library

In a partnership between both Belton Parks & Recreation and the Belton Public Library, they are launching the new Belton Tool Library!
